Why not treat yourself to one of our afternoon teas?  Although we can't supply you with the three tier stand to serve your treats on, we can guarantee that you will receive a box full of quality food.  A perfect way to indulge yourself or someone you know.

Your Afternoon Tea Box will contain:

Sandwiches

Your selection of sandwiches will be freshly made for you.  We don't have any strange or weird fillings, just simple ones that everyone knows – egg mayonnaise, tuna mayonnaise, cheese, hummus and our proper home cooked ham.

(We use Hellman's Mayonnaise and Lockerbie cheese)

Scones

Do you say scone to rhyme with gone or scone to rhyme with tone?  Does the cream go on first then the jam or the jam on first and then the cream?

I say scone to rhyme with tone with just a good dollop of home-made jam or home-made lemon curd.  Mind you, I’m partial to a fresh scone with nothing on (the scone and not me of course).  Let’s get real here though.  It doesn’t matter how you pronounce or serve this little delight as long as you enjoy eating it.

For our Afternoon Teas, I make small scones to allow each person to get two scones, one fruit and one plain.

To accompany your scone, you will find a butter portion, a small jar of our home made jam and a small tub of clotted cream.

(Dairy free spread available but currently no dairy free cream portions are available)

Cakes, Bakes and Treats

In your afternoon tea, cakes should be small enough to pick up with your fingers and not need to use a fork to eat it with.   You will find three small cakes or bakes, maybe an individual Victoria Sponge, a small empire biscuit and a mini lemon drizzle loaf.

Tea

Tea is traditionally served with an afternoon tea.  In your box you will find a selection of tea bags from Edinburgh Tea and Coffee, the same brand of tea we used in the tearoom.

Enjoy.
