Minnie Makes Butterfly Buns
Summer 2025 has been fabulous with another three-week visit from my granddaughter, Minnie.
As you can see, she is now a year older and has quite a number of new teeth.
Last year, we made coconut ice, and I asked Minnie what she would like to make this year. She chose butterfly buns because her mummy loves them.
Watch as we giggle and laugh our way through the three videos. Minnie teaches Grandma a few things, including the bridging method for cutting the butterfly wings in half.
For me, one of the best parts was off camera when Minnie sat on the chair in front of the oven for 15 minutes watching her cakes bake to make sure they were growing.
Did we laugh?
Of course we did.
Did we make a mess?
Just a little bit!
Were the finished butterfly buns delicious?
Absolutely.
